In Halo 3 your rank is determined by your highest skill in ranked playlists and your amount of experience. These together give you a rank. For haloruns there could be a similar system where runners are given a rank based on their placement of times (highest skill) and amount of points (experience).

I haven't thought this idea very far but this is kind of what I had in mind.
    Example:
Rank 3: you have to have X amount of points OR a certain amount of top 10(?) placements. (or both)
Rank 2: you have to have more points OR at least a few podium placements. (or both)
Rank 1: you have to have even more points and podium placements, including world records.

To get to Rank 1 without having good placements you would have to get a LOT of points.

This is the rough idea I had.

This seems interesting. But I'm having trouble differentiating the ranks without including the HR ranking system that is currently set. Kinda hard for me to see a difference, because I can see both points and rank for a specific game in the runner's list. I find them both quite similar. But I'm up for it if its calculated differently, and corresponding to a rank name.

huh? Are you saying there's a ranking system on haloruns already?

I'm talking about the Runners list rankings.

This kind of sounds like a combined placement/point rank system, where the actual placement (eg, 1st, 2nd, 3rd) has its own individual weight compared to just the points system. I kind of think that would be cool, but I'm not sure about a system that hybridizes the two.
