In regard to grabbing a Banshee at the first bridge in AOTCR, I've radically improved my arch method, getting a success rate as high as 85% measured over 20 tries from a checkpoint prior to the loading point. The biggest reason for the boost is that I finally realized how to reliably convert arch entries into ejections.
I'm using PAL and don't yet know if it'll work similarly well on NTSC/PC (or can be modified to do so). But if it does, perhaps it may gain some favour for use in speed runs due to the relatively high success rate (subject to skill and practice of course). In particular it might be deemed good enough to try on a full game run. The current record could then be broken by quite a margin.
Check out my tutorial BCM191. It can be downloaded or you can watch in full quality at HBO (it's not available on YouTube yet, as I'm having a spot of trouble with that). For more detail see my Bridge Banshee grab article.
If anyone tries it on NTSC/PC, I'll be interested to hear the outcome!
UPDATE (26/7/16): The movie is now on YouTube in 480p at last.

@ExplorersX and Noobs. Glad you're liking the look of it. In regard to full game, the thing to do would be to get a late checkpoint like I show at the end. Then if you don't grab the Banshee first try (which would save about 50 seconds run time, based on what ColdGrunter did using the rim method), I think you could make as many as three more tries and still complete the level ahead of your usual time. On NTSC/PC, tries probably won't take more than about 14 seconds apiece.
@RedMage08 I can't get Twitch to play on my computer but managed to see your run elsewhere. Looks like the arch method is working ok on PC, which is good to see. I notice that you down-aimed to the left of my target area though. Any reason?
@RedMage08 Perhaps one reason why you did better with that down-aim was that you might be crouching a tiny bit earlier or later than I do. The difference in position could be compensating, helping things work out. It's just a guess though.
Have you tested for success rate yet? Like, number of ejections out of 20 consecutive tries, from a checkpoint prior to the loading point. I'd be interested to hear that from anyone who gets into this.
Haven't done a check, mostly since I'm still bad with timing and it'd be like saying bridge fall is 50/50 since I fail it half the time(I don't but examples). I also actually hate CE and don't play it as often anymore so wasn't on today. It seemed consistent if I just crouched properly.
